The Rev. Joe Melvin Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Due West Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his sister, Maye Haddon, 1363 Klugh Road, Abbeville, S.C.

Mr. Branyon died Friday, April 2, 2004 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

He was the husband of Martha Holbrook Branyon. Born in Abbeville County on May 4, 1932, he was the son of the late Jefferson Davis (J.D.) and Louise Ware Branyon. He was a member of Dunwoody Baptist Church and was retired from Kayser Roth Corporation with 28 years of service.

Mr. Branyon was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Rose Branyon Entriken.

Surviving Mr. Branyon are his wife of the home; son, Jefferson Davis Branyon, Gainesville; daughter, Jeanne Branyon Lucas, Alpharetta; sisters, Wanda Branyon King, Maye Branyon Haddon and Faye Branyon Hannah, all of Abbeville, S.C.; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
